This easy chicken and veggie stir-fry is a perfect quick dinner. Juicy chicken is cooked with broccoli and mushrooms in a yummy garlic-soy sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes!

Ginger (minced) 1 tablespoon
Sesame oil 2 teaspoons
Soy sauce (low sodium) ⅓ cup (80 mL)
Brown sugar 1 tablespoon
Chicken broth 1 cup (240 mL)
Flour ¼ cup (30 g)

Ingredient Details

This dish uses fresh ingredients like chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms. The sauce is made with garlic, soy sauce, and a little brown sugar for balance. Sesame oil adds a nutty flavor. You can replace chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different taste.

How To Make Easy Step By Step

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Cook until chicken is brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon oil. Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
  4. Add broccoli and stir-fry until tender. Remove both and set aside.
  5. Add the last tablespoon oil. Add garlic and ginger, cook until fragrant.
  6. Pour in sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, broth, and flour. Stir until smooth and thickened.
  7. Add chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms back to the pan. Stir well and heat for a few minutes.
  8. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
